Consumer and Spa Enthusiasts Review Guidelines

CONSUMER REVIEW GUIDELINES ON SPA, MASSAGE, BEAUTY AND WELLNESS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
yunesa@yahoo.com

Today I will start blogging about my spa, massage clinics, facial centers and wellness center experiences (which I should have done a long time ago as I love hopping to these types of establishments, attending similar events or trying products bought here and there) Aside from my healthy food craving, ito ang bisyo ko…hehehe. Trying out this and that product, going to conventions, seminars and going to this and that establishment to have my massage and other wellness regimen and siyempre- spa hopping. Come to think about it, I should have done this a long time ago but this is the first time I am going to blog about my “real life” experiences from products and services so I would like to invite you to start blogging your heart out with me. Anything that I think might be worth mentioning, I will write it here. Events (including, but is not limited to: seminars, workshops, boot camps, meetups, meetings, conventions, trade shows, fairs, etc.) products, services related to Spa, Massage, Beauty, Wellness and Well-Being review and blog it here.

But first, I have to form rules or guidelines (and yes, I will personally abide by them) on reviewing business establishments and products in the wonderful world related to spa, massage, beauty and wellness. I will write from what I have experienced and not a second hand story. I would like to stress first and foremost that I am not endorsing any business establishment, that all these are based on my personal experience and that I am speaking as a consumer. I uphold my right as a consumer and that I am reviewing for informational purposes only and not to endorse any product or service. That I paid for the services rendered to me (or to us, as the case maybe) so my views are not tainted by any commercial interest but honest to goodness event, product and service reviews focusing on anything related to Spa, Massage, Beauty and Wellness Review (with a focus on the Philippines). I have also taken the liberty to take more time to write a truthful and efficient product and service review rather than those sketchy, brief ones that we are used to reading. I will write BOTH positives and negatives about the product, service, or company. Reviews are thorough and independent. I do not take freebies, cash or gifts in exchange for the positive coverage so you can be sure that the advice and reviews are impartial. Being also a critic, reviewer, resource and information guide, I do not research using just the internet, phone or from hearsay. I personally visit and try out these products and services. I take pride in getting all the details right and telling it how it is. So I would also like to welcome everyone to react, give their comments and opinions about the product, service or company I am reviewing as long as they also will abide to these guidelines. Please keep in mind that you are reviewing the businesses that are the livelihoods of real people, instead of a faceless corporation. Remember, there is a difference between writing a negative experience and writing a rant. We would rather be informed of the former and not the latter. So always be level-headed in your reviews, do not use foul language and be civil.

What I would like to accomplish is to let people know what it feels being there or trying that product or service. I will write (if it’s worth mentioning) about the ambiance, the staff, the cleanliness, the location, etc. to give more information on what is not listed in the brochure or website, to help management and those behind the product or owners of the establishment to improve their service or make them proactive and do something better. This blog for consumer reviews will not be a part of any reviews para lang siraan (not a tirade) ang isang product, service or isang establishment. Even if I encounter a service that is awful or product that is not good- I will not throw the baby out of the bath water and instead will try it again at another time. So I can amend my reviews- for better or for worseJ.

Some reminders for those who would like to comment or post their reviews and I would like to take every effort (whatever is humanly possible) to ensure that reviews which are posted on this site are accurate, non-fraudulent and of a reliable nature. I will not tolerate or accept:
Fake Reviews
Reviews written by spa owners, product manufacturers and producers posing as spa customers, clients, guests and visitors
Reviews exposing rumors or hearsay
Reviews being written based on spa incentives or any form of compensation
Reviews written of an irrelevant or personally insulting nature
New reviews for spas that were visited more than 2 years ago
Reviews containing any promotional material of any kind
Reviews written by anonymous persons (all we need is a valid email address and your full name)
Reviews submitted with a fake e-mail address
Please note that the reviews posted on this blog are based on individual subjective opinions. The opinions expressed by visitors are not the views held by myself. I do not agree with or confirm any of the opinions expressed by any visitor reviews or any reactions and responses made to the reviews. I can remove any review or response at any time if necessary to maintain the integrity of the site. If in the rare case that I find a fake review, it will not be submitted or it will be removed immediately. Please note that if a spa owner, manufacturer, marketer is found submitting their own spa review, the spa will be penalized by being warned and in repeated instances, will be barred from posting again. A note will also be displayed on the spa review section mentioning that a fake review was submitted by this individual or company. Please note that an owner, an establishment or whoever from management is able to post a response back in reply to any bad reviews mentioned on the site and be pro-active. As long as peaceful communications and non-derogatory remarks are omitted- I hope everyone will be open for improvement. A neutral and fair review is critical to both of these objectives. Resist the urge to be sarcastic, rude or overly critical.

Finally, I am not responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in my reviews because they might change their rates/price and offer promotions, they might also change their services and products without due notice- so as much as I wanted to be accurate and precise at the same time, I cannot guarantee that my visit, reviews and blogs about the products and services will be the same with what you might or have experienced. As far as I am concerned, I am reviewing on my point of view as a consumer and based solely on my own personal experience and we should continue to do so without any personal biases. Therefore I cannot be liable in anyway for the information contained herein.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us- hopefully, we can give relevant information and help both the consumers and management in raising the bar of excellence in this wonderful and exciting industry.

Peace be with you!

Eunice
